Multiplayer

Have a look to see who's on-line and to check the current rankings.

How to join Play on the Internet

Firstly, you should select 'NetworkPlay', 'My Details . . .' - and fill in your name or an alias - this will be visible to other players in the Internet waiting room and will be used in the on-line rankings.

Now make sure you have an active connection to the internet, choose 'network play','Internet Waiting Room'

If anyone else is currently 'in' the waiting room, you will be able to challenge them, You can also type a message and 'post' it on the message board (perhaps to arrange a time to meet other players).

Once you have issued a challenge, you should wait a few seconds for the other player to respond - you should then automatically be placed in a new game. NB:The challenger always breaks.

Network Play

To play an opponent across a Local Area Network the network must be running TCP/IP as at least one of it's protocols.
You will also need to know the name of you prospective opponents computer. To find the 'name' of a computer, right click on your 'network neighbourhood' icon, choose properties, and look in the 'comuter name' box.

Now - to start a network game one computer must be 'listening' - choose 'Network Play','LAN listen'.
Back on the 'other' PC, choose 'Network Play', 'LAN Challenge', and enter the name of the opponents PC.
From this point things should be pretty self explanatory except to say that you may also use the 'chat window' below the table to type messages to one another.
